What you can except from your session with me

Every session starts with a genuine connection. If we haven’t met before, I’ll introduce myself, and if we’ve worked together already, I’ll say how great it is to see you again. I always begin by asking how you're doing and how you're feeling about the session. Your response helps me get a sense of your mood, energy, and comfort level so I can adjust how I guide the shoot.

As we get started, I’ll explain how I plan to run the session and check in with you to make sure it feels right. If anything needs adjusting, that’s totally okay, no session is set in stone. My approach is flexible, relaxed, and centered around making sure you feel comfortable and confident. I also try to keep the mood light and fun by playing your favorite music during the session, it’s a simple way to help you relax, be yourself, and actually enjoy the experience.

At either the beginning or end of the session, I’ll ask you to create a pose that represents you, something that reflects your personality, your relationship, or your vibe as a family. If I sense you’re a little shy or nervous about being in front of the camera, I’ll usually start with this pose to break the ice and get a feel for who you are. But if you're warming up as we go, I’ll save it for the end, when you're more relaxed and ready to have fun with it. Either way, this moment always leads to something real, personal, and often one of the most memorable shots from the session.

When I am posing you, I keep it simple and natural, based on how you're feeling in the moment. Sometimes we start with a light, easy prompt to warm up; other times, we just talk and settle into it gradually. I’ll often use questions to help spark natural reactions and genuine expressions, like asking how you met, what your favorite thing to do together is, or what makes you laugh. These moments often lead to some of the most candid, heartfelt shots.

Whether or not we begin with that personal pose, I always guide you in a way that feels authentic to who you are, so the session stays comfortable, fun, and true to you from start to finish.

Once the session wraps up, I’ll ask how you’d like to receive your photos, whether that’s through email or on a USB. And the best part? You’ll get your fully edited images back within 24 hours.

I know that having your photo taken can feel a little nerve-wracking, and that’s completely normal. My goal is to make the experience as comfortable, relaxed, and lighthearted as possible. So if you’re feeling unsure, I hope this gives you a better idea of what to expect,  and maybe even makes you feel a little more excited to book, knowing your session will be more easygoing and enjoyable than you might think.
